Living in Babylon

Here is an article about a case where a 16 yr old boy and his pregnant girlfriend conspired to kill their unborn child by having the boy hit the pregnant girl in the stomach with a 22" long souvenir baseball bat over a 2-week period. The baby then died of premature birth caused by trauma to the mother. The baby was buried in the backyard of the boy with help from his mother.

The boy has been charged with a felony, but if convicted, would only remain in custody until he is 21 (whoop-dee-doo). The girl gets off scot-free because it would have been legal for her to get an abortion.

Let me share a few tidbits of this article with you:

"...if the 6-month-old fetus had been viable, the boy would have been charged with manslaughter of a quick-born child, a 15-year felony. The girl could have then also received the same charge for aiding and abetting."

So, the fact that the fetus wasn't "viable" because it had been beaten with a bat several dozen times does not change anything?

Miranda Massie, a Detroit civil rights attorney, believes neither teen should be charged. "My heart went out to these poor kids," Massie said. "I believe it is a terrible mistake to be charged at all. This is a tremendous waste of public resources. What is Macomb County going to gain by criminal charges?"

Well, hopefully some shred of justice, dignity or morality, perhaps? I guess this is just your typical liberal pro-abortionist. Oh well, these "fetuses" are expendable anyway if they're not convenient enough for you, right?

"But being involved in causing a miscarriage is not as severe as murder," Caplan said. "Ethically, you could argue that this seems wrong, but the law draws a sharp distinction between killing your child and a fetus that's not yet viable. That may strike some pro-life people and conservatives as wrong, but that's the way the law is now."

Yep, sadly this is true. The laws need to be changed. How despicable it is that in this great nation which was based on Judeo-Christian values (and by Christian men - make no mistake about it) and claims to believe in "human rights", that we have laws that protect mothers from killing their own children! I've said it before and I'll say it again - Abortion is the single greatest human rights tragedy of our time. Over 44 MILLION babies have been aborted since the 1973 Roe decision in the United States alone!

Lori Lamerand, vice president of the Planned Parenthood Mid-Michigan Alliance, said pregnant teens have safer options available than terminating a pregnancy without a doctor. "It's always tragic when people resort to such drastic measures, when there are appropriate, safe medical measures are available," Lamerand said.

OH, REALLY?!?! You mean, safe like this? Or safe like this? Funny, none of these "safe medical procedures" are very "safe" to the unborn children, are they? The contemptible "doctors" who perform these "safe" procedures are violating the oath they took and are willingly, knowingly taking the lives of the most innocent of humans. They disgust me.

The parents of the teens were not aware of the pregnancy or the decision to abort it, investigators said.

Yet the mother of the boyfriend helped bury the baby...Riiiight....makes sense....NOT!

The laws and values in this country's legal system are totally backwards. There's NO value on the life of unborn children. I guarantee that if either one of these teens had murdered some animal on the endangered species list, they'd both be rotting in jail for a LONG, long time. But since it's just an unborn HUMAN child, eh, no big deal.

I saw a bumper sticker once that read:

"God, why haven't you sent us anyone to cure cancer or Aids yet?"
"I did, but you aborted him."

Amen to that.
